Enjoying Some Marshmallows

Rosetta is thoroughly enjoying marshmallows on a stick at her cousin's birthday party last week. Her vocabulary has markedly improved over the last few months. Since the beginning of April she has been crafting simple, but full sentences such as, "Can I have some daddy?" and "I don't like it."

I'm happy to report that at 20 months Rosetta has developed a wonderful vocabulary, as well as occasionally staticky hair.

It's so wonderful to hear Rosetta say, "Dank you Daddy." She also says, "You're welcome." She sings songs too. Her favorite song is Happy Birthday To You. At the end of it she likes to exclaim, "Cake!"

Rosetta really loves this little plastic car that Juliet picked up at a flea market. She says, "Vroom vroom," when she wants to ride it.

Chatting With Rosetta

Rosetta has become quite the talker. She now says words like, "Bye" and "Daddy" and "Momma". Yesterday she kept repeating the refrain, "Where are you?" It was pretty funny. Anyway, dad took a few moments in front of the computer to chat with Rosetta and have her show off her skills. Unfortunately the sight of herself on the computer monitor resulted in a bit of an understated performance.

Rosetta never ceases to amaze us. She's very strong and sturdy. This past week she started standing on her own for the very first time. Once Rosetta gets forward motion on her feet we're in trouble. We're going to have to deputize Mia to help out.

Our little girl is a crawler! She went on the move for the first time about a week ago and it has been off to the races since.
