Waiting For Spring
Here I sit waiting for spring
Though surely I know it will come
The air is too cold for so late this winter
Though it is not too cold for some
I long for the sun shining bright over head
With birds singing a new song
As flowers bloom all around me
Giving me the strength to carry on
This mere mortal commands thee mother nature
To work your earthly magic
For a year without spring to bring new life
Now this would surely be tragic
