My Beloved
My beloved
Another night has passed without me revealing
my true intentions
Of all God's creations
Love is his most torturous invention
Some may ask why I do love you
In response I can only say
Like the oft quoted poem before me
Let me count the ways
Your kindness to people warms my soul
An your smile is like a new day
Your care for the environment closes a hole
Left by urban decay
You love animals small or large
This to be sure is true
Goodness such as yours nothing could mar
For it's deeply embedded within you
You don't need stimulants to enhance your life
And you strive to do well in school
Your pain and worry cuts me like a knife
But the shade of your lovely hair keeps me cool
I guess you could say I'm a fool for beauty
Though I try to keep control
But I cannot help relate what you do to me
When you radiate from within your soul
I long to hold you close by my side
And never let you go
Someday I will let go of my pride
And breakdown to let you know
