Life Is Hard
Life is hard
But who ever said that it would be easy
There are times I want to cry
I hope no one will see me
Sometimes I think mine is the hardest of all
But then I hear a sad story
Of someone who has lost all hope
Convicted by an invisible jury
There are times that I feel selfish
Focusing on what I have not
Then I must remind myself
To be thankful for what I've got
I must remember always
Though sometimes I cannot see
That all the hope to make things better
Lies deep inside of me
God has given me resources
Love
Creativity
Intelligence
I must use these to the best of my ability
That is all I can ask of myself
And I must help others to see
The strength and power inside of them
