Got Off The Train In Edinburgh
Got off the train in Edinburgh
Tired from a long days travel
Remembered my manners at a local pub
Sucked up the whiskey like it was part of my blood
Took in the town as much as I could
Stood high upon arthur's Seat
Wandered the ancient castle
Searched for a crowded pub on a quiet night
Moved on to the coast at Oban
Saw the sunset from the castle
The pints of ale went down like water
Fish and chips and felling no pain
Early morning caught the first train
Headin for Glasgow and points south
The weather is on my side
Though time surely is not
I'll see all I can see and maybe more
The sounds and words keep me going
And on I go like a cat in search of a meal
